NECLL learns from and values the views and experiences of our students and members.
We have established a student representative system for students on accredited programmes, including language programmes and hold regular forums for Explore members.

Explore members

Language Students

The lastest minutes of the Staff Student Liasion Committee are available here

Lingvo

Lingvo is the new student rep run blog which is an opportunity to learn a little more about what's going on around the area that you may find interesting. It is aimed at not only giving you info to get involved with activities outside of the classes which are connected to language learning but also, in response to your requests for more social events, a chance to get together. The site is run by NECLL students, not NECLL!

Students on accredited programmes can also contact their student representative via necllstudentrep@sunderland.ac.uk.
We take your feedback very seriously and our responses can be seen here

By personal contact – just talk to

It’s not all about complaints!

We are hoping that you will pass on your ideas for improvement, and that you will be able to bring your experience to bear on developing better ways to present the courses. In particular we need your help, fairly urgently, on two matters:-

1) The NECLL brochures
a. Are they clear and comprehensive?
b. Do you feel they are the best vehicle to publicise the NECLL courses?
c. What would you do differently?
d. How did you hear about these courses – was it via a brochure in the
first case?

2) The design and operation of the course feedback forms
a. They are necessary, but how can we make them more meaningful
to both NECLL and the students?
b. Have you seen or used a better system, which could be adapted?

These courses are for you, and your feedback on their effectiveness is crucial. Please feel free to comment on anything and everything that frustrates you, pleases you, interests you, inhibits you from your participation in the courses.

Thank you for your patience and your time.
